Be Our Better Half & Make a Gift to CRP

It's never too late to Support CRP!

Letter Hearts

Dear Civil Rights Project Supporters,

Yes, Valentine's Day is over, but it's never too late to make a unique and heartfelt gift to the valentine in your life. Donate now to the Civil Rights Project and we will send your loved one a CRP book of their choice and Civil Rights Project T-shirt.

Our research highlights the 21st Century issues faced by students and their communities. Our work delivers important data and conveys research findings on the civil rights implications of education policies. CRP reports are sought by policy makers, journalists, government officials, advocates, educators and concerned parents.

In 2014, with the help of CRP’s NY school segregation report, the state of New York introduced legislation to help dismantle the drastic segregation in their public school system.  In Massachusetts we filed two groundbreaking disparate impact complaints on school discipline with the Office of Civil Rights, which agreed to open investigations in both cases - despite never before investigating complaints filed solely on the grounds of disparate impact in discipline. We created a research-based education tool that helps California’s schools, districts and teachers target the best ways to implement the state’s Local Control Funding Formula, so that it narrows the achievement gaps between English learners and all other students. These are just a few of many examples where our research provided the tools needed by various stakeholders to substantiate changes within the public education system.

Your donation will further CRP's work at a time when civil rights research is underfunded and scarce.

  • ENDOW a civil rights researcher
  • SPONSOR graduate training in civil rights research
  • SUPPORT a briefing for policy-makers and government officials
  • DISTRIBUTE our work to libraries of Minority Serving Institutions, journalists, advocates, legislative staffers, etc.

Donate $100 and receive a book from our publications collection. Donate $125 and receive a book, CRP T-shirt, and flash drive.*

Support us and support educational equity and equal opportunity for all students.  We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely,
