Graduate Student Researcher
Jenn Ayscue is a doctoral student in the Urban Schooling Division at UCLA’s Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. She received her B.A. in Elementary Education from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.A. in Social Sciences in Education from Stanford University. Ayscue taught elementary school for two years in East Palo Alto, CA and for one year in Charlotte, NC. She also worked with a non-profit in Charlotte, where she served as a liaison between middle school students who were homeless and the public schools. Her research interests focus on the educational experiences of students who are homeless, resegregation of schools, and the education of English Language Learners.
